Whistleblowers really run the gamut. I feel genuine sympathy for many of them, the ones who had the courage to do the right thing and then endured years of punishment prior to being properly recognized for their efforts. At the other end of the spectrum, there are those who imagine compliance violations everywhere they look or have all the wrong intentions in reporting what they observe. But there are many whistleblowers in between, those whose stories are more complex.
