Walmart sets chemicals target for textiles suppliers

On April 10, Deanah Baker, Walmart Inc.’s senior vice president for U.S. apparel, outlined three ways the company is seeking sustainability in its textile supply chains. The first is to focus on sustainable cotton sourcing (100% by 2025) and the second is to require textile suppliers to reduce the discharge of priority chemicals from the manufacturing process by 2025.
