Research Compliance Conference update

In June, the Health Care Compliance Association held its Research Compliance Conference, co-located with the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics’ Higher Education Conference, at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass in Phoenix. With speakers from academic medical centers, community hospitals, cancer centers, law firms, and consultants, a plethora of knowledge was gained by those in attendance.

Human subjects are the reason all of us are in our positions. A session on the operations of a Human Subject Protection Program by Kate Cohen of Southern Illinois University and Justin Osborne of HRP Consulting focused on the need for partnership. Evaluating risks posed by disconnects will bridge successful communication. Having a seat at the table is important as a stakeholder.
