Compliance generalist or specialist?

There is an interesting new book out by David Epstein called Range: Why Generalists Triumph in a Specialized World.[1] In this book, Epstein suggests that individuals who have a wide range of experiences in multiple domains are better equipped for success than those who specialize early. He argues that their broad experience allows those individuals to think more creatively, problem-solve more effectively, and find more opportunities to grow their career.
