China data authorities issue guidance regarding personal health information

The App Governance Working Group of the China Electronics Standardization Institute issued a notice with recommendations for developers[1] that were providing services to Chinese citizens during the new coronavirus outbreak. The notice follows a series of specifications and standards setting by Chinese authorities regarding the processing of personal data. The specifications stem from the 2017 Cybersecurity Law[2] and the Personal Information Security Specification[3] issued in 2018.
