It’s well accepted that a board of directors has responsibility for oversight of the compliance function, among other responsibilities. This oversight role is often delegated to a more manageable committee made up of board members so that this smaller group can dive into this responsibility more fully than the entire board of directors would be able to. But just how fully should they dive?
