Novartis Greece and Alcon agree to pay $233 million to resolve FCPA investigation

The United States Department of Justice (DOJ) announced on June 25 that Novartis Hellas S.A.C.I. (Novartis Greece), a subsidiary of Novartis AG, and Alcon Pte Ltd, a former subsidiary of Novartis AG and current subsidiary of Alcon Inc., resolved an investigation into violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act by agreeing to pay a substantial fine.
