Calendaring

Betsy Wade (bwade@signaturehealthcarellc.com) is the Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer at Signature Healthcare in Louisville, KY.

Whether your healthcare organization operates on the traditional calendar year (January 1–December 31); fiscal year (any period of time that last 12 months, such as July 1–June 30); or the federal government’s fiscal year (October 1–September 30), calendaring is an easy way for compliance officers to be strategic and plan ahead for compliance activities that recur on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis. Calendaring also helps compliance officers ensure that they don’t miss anything important throughout the year.
