UK sanctions individuals under the new Global Human Rights Sanctions Regulations

The Global Human Rights Sanctions Regulations 2020[1] came into force July 6 in the United Kingdom. Like the United States Global Magnitsky Act, the U.K. law targets individuals for violations of human rights and places sanctions on them, their companies and their associates.
