I co-presented a session at the 2018 HCCA Compliance Institute titled, “Corporate Integrity Agreement Developments: Understanding the Government’s Expectations.” Preparation for the session afforded me an opportunity to do a deep dive into the currently open Quality of Care corporate integrity agreements (QOC CIAs). For me, a key takeaway from digesting those QOC CIAs was that it reinforced the government’s expectations of a strong and collaborative partnership between the Compliance function and the Quality function. A few illustrations follow.
