Planning and preparing to conduct the investigation

Based on my experiences as an investigator working in both the public and private sectors, one key takeaway I learned was that there is no way to conduct the perfect investigation. You can spend countless hours working on a case, but regardless of your good efforts, mistakes can be made. However, with the proper planning and preparation, the likelihood of these mistakes and their potential risks to your organization can be significantly reduced.
