In an age of uncertainty for patients consenting for trials, connecting the patient with support up front has become increasingly important. Although physicians sometimes believe that any item or service required in a trial is covered by the patient’s insurance, it is not always the case due to limitations in coverage. Patients not only need information about insurance coverage, they also need support and education about the trial. Can you think outside the box to handle this important task?
