OIG Revises Self-Disclosure Protocol, Increases Settlement Minimums

The HHS Office of Inspector General (OIG) said Nov. 8 it has revised the Self-Disclosure Protocol (SDP), doubling the minimum amount required for an admission ticket and clarifying a few other things.[1] This is the first update since 2013 to the SDP, which invites providers to self-report evidence of potential fraud to OIG in exchange for reduced penalties and avoiding a corporate integrity agreement.
