An optician from the Atlanta, Georgia, area was charged with identity theft on March 19 related to the submission of false claims to federal health care programs, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Louisiana said. John Anthony Marsh, who operated Magazine Medical Group & Associates, LLC, in New Orleans, was accused of submitting claims for medical services using another physician’s national provider identifier.
