Most readers recognize the name Theranos — the health technology company that, along with its founder and CEO, went from media darling to defunct and criminally charged in a very short period of time. But many readers might wrongfully assume that there are no lessons to be learned from the still-ongoing Theranos case. After all, there were a lot of unique circumstances involved, and if the allegations in the criminal indictment are proven or those reported in the news are true, the actions taken by the company’s CEO and COO were extreme.
