Healthcare Joint Venture: Amazon, J.P.Morgan, and Berkshire Hathaway

Earlier this year, we witnessed the announcement that Amazon, J.P.Morgan, and Berkshire Hathaway are forming a new joint venture with one objective: to improve how healthcare is delivered in the United States. It remains to be seen exactly how healthcare will be improved, but I wonder what this new venture will mean for changing how patient heath information (PHI) is safeguarded. To that end, this month’s column will truly live up to its Privacy Ponderings name.
