Emissions regulations in US still uncertain

After Ford Motor Co. came to an agreement with California regulators in July regarding emissions standards for automobiles going forward, several other car makers joined suit, including Volkswagen AG, Honda Motor Co., Ltd. and BMW AG. Despite these agreements, the federal government has remained steadfast in its attempt to roll back Obama-era standards regarding auto emissions and challenge California’s role in drafting emissions standards that are stricter than currently proposed federal standards.
