Electronic Privacy Information Center keeps the heat on Facebook

The Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC), a public interest research center based out of Washington, D.C., is currently involved in two cases against Facebook Inc. The first case, EPIC v. FTC, No. 18-942 (D.D.C.), is a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit in which EPIC is seeking the Facebook assessments, reports and related records required by the 2012 Consent Order. EPIC asserts that Facebook repeatedly violated the 2012 Consent Order and is asking for the required documents in order to prove that Facebook ignored the requirements and yet faced no penalty from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
